What is the collaborative investigation?

The collaborative investigation is the biggest new aspect of the HMS syllabus. This is a mandatory project that must be assessed. Students are meant to be able to choose a topic from either of the core modules, research and investigate this topic collaboratively in small groups, and then present their findings. During the investigation, they are meant to maintain a portfolio, present a report, and write a statement of learning. While they are doing that, we as teachers need to support and assess everything, including:

  • assessing the process
  • assessing the product
  • having a group mark and
  • have an individual mark.
  • Oh... and we have to assess the collaborative outcome. 🙂

Included in the workshop

Learn everything you need to know to design, assess and teach the collaborative investigation. You will be given templates, example units of work, a draft student workbook and engaging ideas to use in your lessons.

You will also be fed morning tea and lunch.

All for just $440 inc GST
